The latest edition of "The APP- Arklatex, People and Politics" Features Melissa Flournoy, chair of the '10,000 women of Louisiana'. This is a grassroots advocacy group designed to allow citizens to air their concerns about politics and government.
Following similar events in Ruston and Monroe, Flournoy's group held a recent town hall in Shreveport with more than 200 registered citizens.
She says her group is dedicated to more transparency and respect in government. The conversation is lively and informative.
